As chartered human physiotherapists, we offer a service that aims to improve the quality and function of movement and mobility. We can tailor treatment and rehabilitation programs that will optimise recovery from injury while also offering advice for long term maintenance. Our service applies to all individuals, not just riders so please call us today to discuss your needs.
Assessment
Physiotherapy assessment and treatment
initial consultation: 1 hour
Follow up 45 minutes
Full body MOTs
We will assess you from top to toe. This will include objective measurement of joint range of motion, pelvic angles and gait assessment as well as treatment and advice. Following on from this a full report is produced along with advice sheet outlining recommendations, exercises and future management.
Rider specific MOTs
We offer a complete biomechanical assessment of you both on land and on your horse using a range of objective joint measurements, postural observation and gait analysis. A full rider MOT requires 2 separate appointments, one for you in our treatment room and the other at your home or yard to observe riding position. Our assessment is unique in the fact that we measure pelvic angle both on and off the horse using our Sub4 inclinometer to give and accurate comparison of rider compensatory patterns. We then produce a detailed report and exercise plan.
